I really enjoyed putting together my list of top 5 things I love for the month of August.

In case you missed it, I’ve introduced new content on my blog and one of them is a monthly round-up of things I love, which could be anything across the board. Enjoy :)

1) Polaroid Instant Camera

A few months ago I was looking at instant cameras and considered getting one and managed to find a few in Sandton City. The one I really want is the Polaroid Instant Digital Camera Z2300. It’s as easy as shooting, editing and printing in less than a minute! It uses zero ink technology and prints are smudge proof, water-resistant and tear-resistant. Source.

2) Mr Price Online

This one needs no introduction. Absolutely love that you can now shop online. Sometimes it’s just a bother walking around looking for stuff, sifting through to find a size. www.mrp.co.za takes it all away!

3) Pixel Sunglasses

Cannot emphasis how much I love these pixel sunglasses. I think it’s so me! In fact, I want one in every colour. How can you not love them? Source.

4) Crayola Nail Polish

I can actually remember how exciting it was to open a new box of Crayola crayons as a kid. I guess you could say I’m a closet stationary lover. You can imagine how excited I was to see Crayola nail polish, packaged the same way as crayons, available in bright and funky colours. At R656 for 8 mini bottles, it’s quite pricey. Source.

5) Angry Birds plush

Ever since I attended the MTN App of the Year awards, I’ve been after giant plush Angry Birds (no, not the pig). Each category winner received one and by the end of the night, I wanted my own to take home, but alas…

    I wouldn’t mind a Polaroid camera myself!

It’s the only camera that you can’t take tons of pics with. You have to save it for special occasions. Which is not a bad thing!

I have to admit bias because I work for Mr Price and I took part in the beta releases of the online site, but it the experience and speed with which we are able to deliver does make the online shopping for Mr Price so much nicer then others. Other retailers could learn a thing or two from how we did it. It had been a year of hard work for some of the Systems team at Mr Price and it paid off. I was not part of the team, but know them all and can vouch that they spend every waking moment ensuring it will be done right from the beginning. Keep an eye on it… A lot more is planned going forward.

It is awesome to check our RSS feeds and see your company on a list like this. It shows that the work done was well worth it.
