Logitech Winner

Posted by Nafisa on Dec 13, 2010 in competition

Thank you to everyone who entered the Logitech mouse / proverb competition. A total of 13 entries (including a haiku) were received. The following 3 (out of 4), made it to the shortlist:

1. A mouse in a house, fattens to fill a hand; a mouse on the run, flattens to a touchable pad. – @mirfaan

2. A mouse in hand is worth 2 on the trackpad. – @aasiaf

3. Where there’s a mouse, there’s a tangled cord. – @WaseemD

I know I said I will pick the winner, but I’ve asked two editors, whom I’ve worked with (who would be impartial) to judge. Both @ITWebGadgets and @DupD chose the same, winning entry:

“When the cable’s away, the mouse will still play.” – i.am.me (all I have is the name from her email)

Congratulations i.am.me! Please check your email.

Thanks again to everyone who entered!

Win a Logitech wireless mouse

Posted by Nafisa on Dec 1, 2010 in competition

I thought it would be a good idea to reward my readers by giving away one of my favourite gadgets for 2010: the Logitech M305 wireless mouse, which is part of the Logitech Fantasy Collection (my review has been published here).

All you have to do is come up with your own proverb and include the word “mouse” in it – in the context of a computer mouse, of course ;) And you could win the mouse, pictured right!

Get funny, get creative and get those entries in! Send your proverbs to wiredtotheweb[at]gmail[dot]com. Multiple entries allowed. Competition closes on Sunday, 12 December at midnight. The winner will be selected by me and announced on Tuesday, 14 December.

If you’re a designer, you might want to check out Logitech’s own “design your own mouse competition”. Download the template from the Logitech website, create your design and then register & submit. More information on www.logitech.com/win.
