I found this this travel meme online and decided to do it. I know, I haven’t blogged since returning from Taiwan, I’ve been so busy catching up and trying to recover. So this will have to do in the mean time.

1. Where, of all the places you have never been, do you want to go to most?

New York City! I hope if I go there, it lives up to my expectations.

2. Where do you most want to go back to?

I used to want to return to London, but not so sure about that anymore. I think Cardiff, because I lived there for almost a year. I’d like to see what the city is like now, and how things changed over the years.

Last month I attended an Apple event at the Eastgate iStore. It was a showcase of what various apps can do – cooking, beauty (make-up and skin), educational and games, to name a few. The one that caught my eye was getting your portrait painted on an iPad. I submitted a photo but didn’t know a video was going to be made! Here is the result:

The video & article originally appeared on 10and5.com.

I came across this really cool personal Twitter data-generated infographic via Syllable, called Visual.ly.

Just login with your Twitter account and you will see that you are what you tweet. You can compare yourself to someone else if you want, but I selected the solo option. I cropped out a little bit of boring info. This was my result: || Read more

I was invited to test drive the new Lexus hybrid vehicle, (launching in August locally) the Lexus CT 200h F Sport. The experience was filmed and as someone who hates being in front of the camera, I think I did okay because I had to concentrate on the road first. But the final edit will be real proof.

While I do get to drive a fair amount of cars/attend launches, please remember I am not a motoring journalist but Lexus wanted my opinion regardless. || Read more

Yesterday the Huawei (I have no idea how it’s pronounced) Ideos S7 Slim tablet launched locally.

It is a 7-inch tablet (I don’t know why, though – it’s too small for a tablet), runs Android 2.2 Froyo, lets you make video and voice calls (3G+WiFi), features Bluetooth 2.1, HD playback (720), HMDI out and has 2 cameras. || Read more

I’ve been selected to go to The Republic of China (ROC), known as Taiwan (not to be mistaken with The People’s Republic of China), later this year in celebration of their 100th anniversary.

Organized by the Taiwanese Council of Cultural Affairs, they’ve invited guests from around the world (250 people from 125 countries) to experience an authentic Taiwanese lifestyle. || Read more

The Samsung Africa Forum was held in Nairobi, Kenya this year and I was invited to attend the press conference where Samsung announced its product lineup for the African region.

The event is fairly new; the first one was held in Johannesburg last year (which I couldn’t attend), but those who attended said it was a huge improvement compared to the first one. || Read more

I received an iPad (64GB WiFi+3G) from my husband yesterday. You know, the day people queued at stores as early as 6am (according to Dion Wired Woodmead) when the iPad 2 went on sale. They had marked down first-gen iPads at crazy prices.

I will use the device for recreation, I honestly can’t see myself working from it. Maybe I’m old school but I prefer taking notes by writing in my Moleskine journal (I know, right?). || Read more
