test: N97 camera

I decided to take some pictures with my N97 but it’s not something I haven’t done before. I’ve taken random pictures, some of which can be found on nafisa.posterous.com.

I received a Sony Vaio netbook to review today – in hot pink and for someone who hates pink gadgets – I’m finding this one surprisingly likeable. I’m glad that the keyboard isn’t like the last Lenovo I played with (the Ctrl and Fn keys appear left to right, respectively) – exactly how I like it.

I know I’m not the world’s best photographer, this was just a test on the N97 camera. It’s very difficult to take pictures of products and this is the best I came up with (pics taken at night):

After connecting and hopping onto the wireless, what did I do? Download Google Chrome, Picasa and Google Talk 😉

The review of the Sony Vaio netbook will appear in the next edition of Digital Life. It’s currently not available for sale, so I don’t have any prices.

  • I hate pink also, it’s such a puky color.

i liked the gallery code you put into the post, is it a wordpress plugin? Very nerdy

  • Thanks Waseem. Yes its a plugin and I blogged from the Vaio – wow the images are huge from a normal pc. Was too lazy to check from my desktop 😛

  • I don’t like Vaios. Don’t like Sony in general. They make too much useless proprietary bullshit like their memory sticks and betamax… I used to have a Sony phone that I hated and a Cybershot that was crao. Their laptops are shiny nonsense.

  • I don’t have a problem so much with proprietary. Look at Apple – can you imagine them going out of business? Sony is a trusted brand too. I don’t mind paying for a brand that I know wont let me down.

  • I think brands like Sony and Apple have this sheen of ‘coolness’ and it doesn’t impress me. You end up paying more for something that is slightly better looking more than anything (more with Sony than Apple).

I agree about brand loyalty though but I tend to prefer brands that are less cool looking but will last. My last 3 phones have been Samsung and though I’ve had the HTC Hero for a month I am thinking of waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Android phone that is coming out in a couple months.

My laptop is a Toshiba and the build quality is like a rock. I think if I buy another laptop in the future I will stick with Tosh as I’ve had no problems with it since I got it.
