top-5I’ve made a list of my top 5 free travel apps, across all platforms like Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Nokia and Windows Phone.

For those of you who bought Marie Claire last December, you would have seen this list. Since it’s old now but still relevant, I thought I’d publish it for the benefit of those who don’t read MC.

In no order, they are:

2. AccuWeather
Platform: Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Windows Phone

3. TripAdvisor
Platform: Android, iOS, Nokia, Windows Phone
This leading user-generated travel review site gives you access to millions of honest reviews of hotels, restaurants and attractions worldwide.

4. OandA Currency Converter
Platform: Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Windows Phone 7
Get daily exchange rates on-the-go for more than 190 currencies with option to add the percentage charged by your bank.

5. Skype
Platform: Android, iOS, Nokia, Windows Phone
The cheapest way to make video and voice calls while abroad, as well as sent instant messages.
