The instructions I found online were meant to be done via a PC or tablet or Xbox. I find these options a bit overly complicated, so I decided to show you how to do it through a Windows Phone handset, which is not as straight forward as going into the Windows Store app either.
As you know, loading credit to your Microsoft account will let you use it across the board – Windows Store, Windows Phone Store and Xbox.
Using a Windows Phone handset:
1. Go to the Wallet app
2. You should see your account summary here. Click the “+” sign
3. Choose a method – gift card, credit or debit card
4. Enter your 25 digit code and it will verify
5. Your new balance will be reflected
I find redeeming via a handset the easiest way, unless you’re at your PC and prefer doing it there.
Another handy tip to know – if you change your region between UK/US, after logging into your phone with your primary MS account, you will have to reset it and login again.
