The Oura Ring is officially available in South Africa through an exclusive partnership with Discovery, and as of next year, Vitality will introduce a new sleep score that rewards customers for… sleeping. If you’re already tied into the ecosystem, it may worth checking out. The company also released a sleep report and the impact it has on wellbeing, which is why it will be integrated into Vitality Rewards.
The Oura Ring is not the only device that can be used for tracking sleep, but also a bunch of popular smartwatches. I am awaiting a ring to review and will also compare it to the Galaxy Ring. More on Recharged:

And now for the opposite end of the spectrum, Recharged recently published a review of the viral Ninja Creami, a 7-in-1 ice-cream maker. Former tech journalist Dave Greenway imported one from the UK (and paid less than what it goes for on a local site) and says: “I have a sweet tooth and I struggle to eat enough protein in the day for my training and dietary goals. This manages to solve those problems for me.” Full review here. A little birdie told us there will be other ice-cream makers entering the local market this year, stay tuned.
In other news, if you’re a small business owner, content creator or budding film-maker/videographer, I finally published my review of one of my best purchases this year: the DJI Mic Mini. It’s basically your new smartphone bestie. It caught my eye because it didn’t have a glaring logo; it’s discreet and weighs 10g. It connects via USB-C, has granular controls, and adds to productivity because you don’t have to worry about the hadedas in the background anymore!
