I received a pack of Wireless Wipes at the Wired Women conference, and wasn’t planning on blogging about it, but then I used it.

You don’t have to be a germophobe to keep your devices clean, but given that cellphones contain tens of thousands of germs on every square inch (Keeping it Kleen), I thought I’d share a little more about it, having used other cleaning products.

A pack of 12 Wireless Wipes are packaged just like any other wet wipes, in a re-sealable pack, which won’t dry out, and come in different scents: Pomegranate Citrus, Green Tea Cucumber and Rosemary Peppermint.

I tested a single wipe on my phone, laptop screen, keyboard and trackpad (my tablet wasn’t nearby but you should be able to clean several devices from 1 wipe). I loved the results. The anti bacterial wipes are fast drying, which is immediately noticeable; non-streaking; and don’t reek of alcohol. It’s safe to use on metal, LCD, plastic or glass.

I’ve used several different cleaning products in the past and wasn’t happy because of the residue it left behind and the smell. For this reason alone, I’m sold on Wireless Wipes. I love it when a product does exactly what it supposed to; nothing more and nothing less.

I don’t clean my devices every day but one wipe a week across multiple devices mean a single pack should last a couple of months.

Price: R50 a pack
