DStvMobileSamsung and DStv Mobile have partnered to offer Galaxy tablet users a Drifta bundle through operators and retailers.

According to Samsung, due to the demand across multiple platforms, the Galaxy Tablet and Drifta Mobile decoder for Android will be made available through network operators and retailers; and bundles will also include a free three month DStv Mobile subscription.

The Drifta for Android mobile decoder works exclusively with Samsung Galaxy devices and gives the user access to DStv Mobile channels. The devices that will be bundled with the mobile decoders are: Galaxy Note 8, Samsung’s 10.1-inch Tab 3 and Tab 2.

Mark Rayner, CEO of DStv Mobile says that the limited edition bundle with Samsung uses Digital Video Broadcast Handheld (DVB-H) technology, which offers improved digital sound and picture quality.

“Watching television has evolved beyond the living room and a single screen is no longer the norm,  which has resulted in an increased appetite for mobile television in South Africa”, says Craige Fleischer, director of Mobile Communications at Samsung South Africa.
