A few weeks ago Samsung arranged for a group of media to try its new NX30 camera, which it refers to as a “professionally inspired compact camera”.
There are a range of interchangeable lenses available for the NX30, which fall under the “S Lens” series.
The camera has a 20.3-megapixel CMOS sensor, 1/8000 sec shutter speed, a 3-inch swivel viewfinder, and one of my favourite features – a 9 frame per second continuous shooting mode.
The camera may seem intimidating at first, but once you get used to it, it’s easy to use. It has a touch display with loads of modes and functions. The swivel viewfinder moves 180 degrees from side to side and 270 degrees up and down.
The camera also has smart features such as Wi-Fi, Tag & Go – NFC function that lets you share pics instantly, Photo Beam, Mobile Link, AutoShare, and Dropbox comes preloaded.
These are some of the pics I took on the photo walk, unedited except for resize.

The Samsung NX30 camera is for serious photographers. It retails for R11 999.
