At 7mm, it’s thinner than the Xperia Z range of smartphones, and is aimed at those who want to “stand out from the crowd”. By stand out from the crowd, Sony Mobile is hoping to attract fashionistas and the like. The event at this edgy fashion store was meant to pair similar elements on the phone to the clothing – metallics, stand out from the crowd, pop of colour, slimming (yep!).
And so we had to create our own look from the store inspired by these elements.
The Xperia T3 has a 5.3″ HD Triluminos display (same technology found on Sony Bravia TVs) with a 1280×720 screen resolution. It’s a very light handset for its size, weighs only 148g. It has a premium look and feel, however it’s not waterproof like the Xperia Z range. The back has a matte feel to it, which gives it a better grip.
The T3 is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD), and has an 8MP camera. Connectivity options include NFC, Miracast, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE/4G. The battery capacity is 2500mAh and also has Stamina mode.
The Sony Xperia T3 retails for R5639 through Vodacom and is available on contract.
