Have you noticed all the new phones coming out lately? It’s definitely smartphone szn, are you excited for an upgrade? My review for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is coming out soon, so keep an eye on that. I also got a hands-on experience recently with Honor at IFA Berlin with their new Magic V3. It is currently the thinnest foldable at 4.35mm when opened and 9.2mm when closed.

More excitement is in the air as the new iPhone 16 series launches in South Africa on Friday, 20 September. It is the first time we receive the new iPhones on the same day as the US, major! Then Huawei announced its new trifold Mate XT smartphone, it has three screens and two hinges that open into one. It is currently available in the Chinese market only. And if you want to add another smartphone to the mix, Xiaomi will be announcing its new devices, the 14T Series, in Berlin next week. It appears to have an emphasis on photography with its Leica partnership. Something to keep an eye on.
Speaking of, Vodacom announced a new “cloud-based” smartphone for R249. The Mobicel-branded 4G handset will support apps like TikTok, YouTube and Facebook. Interested? Read more on Recharged.
